Faerie in high flight

Description

Well, what do we have here...
At the least, a departure from my usual heavy, muscular, female concoction...

In order to speed up making my comics, I am experimenting around with 3D. This is DAZ 3D's "training faerie"! Any of you who are into DAZ 3D surely know "her". I suppose all go through "the tutorial".

Well sure enough, after getting familiar a bit with it, I began messing around.

Because DAZ reders pictures with a clean, smudge-free canvas, it is an easy matter to lift the figure as an object and fuse it into any background.

DAZ's training faerie is some 25,000 feet over Pennsylvania here.

Photo was taken February 2007 on the way back from Hong Kong. This is about 30 minutes from landing at Newark airport. At this point, we are probably 200-300 miles away, over the wilds of west Pennsylvania. It was late in afternoon, explaining the west-lit clouds. In the photo, you are viewing north, roughly.

I am hoping, after buying, buying, buying, the bases, morphs, special morphs, etc, etc, etc, necessary, to approximate some of the characters in my comics.

Joy, the blue-eyed blond with short hair wearing tank-top seen on my front page should be easy. Wong Leisu should come pretty easily. There is a "muscle morph" package to generate "muscle women".
Kiva might be a challenge. I found a set of hair style morphs that will simulate Kiva's bangs and layered tease in the back. After that, it is a simple matter to choose green eyes and blue lipstick and nails. The locks of hair that come over her shoulders might be tricky. I may have to add those "post-render".
Qhazor, who wears a head covering, should easily be made with one of the male characters. There is just plain no morph for his head cover, so I'll have to add it post-render.

Other characters, the big muscular Taqh women, and the lithe and fit Betaqh, should easily be able to be made using the various ethnic morphs and muscle morphs.

Once a character is made, one just calls it up, pose it, and renders. Then the characters can be assembled onto a background. I am hoping this will greatly speed up my comic making. Taking 5 days to 2 weeks for each picture just ain't going to cut it! At that rate, it will take a century to get my comics out!

I put more 3D lessons and experiment renders in scraps. Below are the links to them. Just click for a look-see...

The 3D adventure begins...
