A typically huge Shasheerian (muscle women planet) woman of the Taqh race has just brought a dude from a neighboring country up a mountain to do "global (world-wide-averaged)" pollution measurements.

The neighboring country on planet Shasheer still burns plant fuels (oils and ethanols etc. from plants) whose pollution drifts over the nation of Shasheer. Shasheerian government wants them to modernize to wind- and solar-energy. Alcohols and oils from plants is a land-consuming, polluting, old-fashioned way to derive energy on Shasheer. One by one, the nations of Shasheer are modernizing to solar and wind.
He will take the results of the measurements to his government to show that indeed the pollution spreads all over the planet.
He's bundled up against the chill of the high altitude. Since she has been pedaling a heavy pedicab with him and instrumentation up a mountain, she is not cold at all.
