This is one mostly for cyclists, especially those into velomobiles. This is simply a fun, clear explanation of velomobiles.
The velomobiles featured are "Shasheerian types", but the "Earth velomobiles", those mainly from Germany, Belgium, and France, are similar.
Several months ago to just over a year ago some writer identifying herself as a woman named "Lisa" submitted a couple stories to musclewomen.com. Whomever she was, she appeared to be really into that Shasheer world... She rewrote an old story of mine that I had long taken down because I thought it was stupid. But she had kept it all those years and finally, rewrote it and submitted it. She improved it a lot! Then she wrote and submitted one of her own simply called "Velomobile Trip". Then, to go with those 2 stories, she wrote a piece called "Shasheerian Velomobile", to explain what those things are in her (and my) stories on musclewomen.com.
Well anyway, I like the way she writes. I'm trying to adopt it. Anyway, there is a lot about velomobiles on this Deviant Art space/site. So I decided to include this fun explanation of them here too.
References are made to her stories. The language is a bit rough in spots. She does NOT hold back, that's for sure.
To see this picture and her descriptions clearly, use the "download" option. It is 1 megabyte which is not to much of a problem for DSL or cable. But if you are on dial-up, I highly recommend you instead go to the web-page itself by clicking here.
Perhaps I SHOULD have been an engineer, most likely a "civil" engineer, but I went into electronics. However on my own projects, I do draw up diagrams and build on them. In fact, the project coming up in a month or so, is a small cabin for my wilderness land in West Virginia, for which I am drawing up plans already. I will also do all plumbing and electrical, however, for a one-room cabin, it will be extraordinarily simple.
Alex, it mayby simple to yourself but to the lamen that dosent now the first thing of schematics and blueprinting it would be unbelievable. electronics you say. I was wondering what kind. I have a cert in electrical wiring and have prewired or rewired on the side many a home, phone, and cable lines. also was an amature radio operator in my youth which you needed to actually know how to build from scratch your own trans-reciever...funny it was run on crystals then for each freq. Im showing my age Bruce
